This mash is truly better than potato mash! It is healthier, more aromatic and tastier! This is a comforting and filling low carb side dish.
Ingredients
1 large swede
1 large celeriac root
100 g butter
1 tsp dried dill
1/2 tsp turmeric (optional)
salt to your taste
1.Peel swede and cut into chunks and place in a large pot, cover with cold water and add salt and turmeric (it gives the mash a nice yellow colour). Bring to the boil, reduce heat and cook for about 10 minutes.
2. Meanwhile peel celeriac root and cut into chunks. Add to the pot. Cook until both swede and celeriac are soft.
3. Drain the veggies and add butter and dill. Mash with potato masher or with blender for a more creamy consistency.
4. Serve and enjoy!
